Recently we have had many customers requesting used stretch wrapping equipment and or used case sealers. In our experience, most of the used equipment in the market needs extensive reconditioning and the cost becomes prohibitive. Packaging Equipment & Films has recently acquired a line of carton sealing and stretch wrapping equipment that meets the consumer demand for lower cost. Why buy a used taper or stretch wrapper when you can have a new machine with a warranty?
Carton Sealers start out at $2,850.00 + freight

Last month a customer/supplier of printed digital labels contacted us for assistance on an application to apply labels to whiskey and vodka bottles for a start-up micro distillery. Hand applying labels to the front and back of the bottle was a tedious and inconsistent process that was adding a significant amount of laber cost to their process. The volume was not enough to warrant an inline high speed application, due the batch size of each distilled spirit; also the bottle was taper styled glass container.
Packaging Solutions for Bottle Labeling
The solution was a table top label applicator, the Bottle-Matic II from Dispensa-Matic. This applicator is fully adjustable to handle both cylindrical and taper styled bottles and has the capability to apply one or two labels to the bottle. The production speed of the label applicator was more than enough to handle the filling and processing speed of the project and the customers requirements.
After completing our recent project with the local distillery on labeling bottles and designing a corrugated RSC for 6 bottle case, we started thinking outside the box in regards to the retail application for our customer. Since the distillery also had a retail side, the sale of finished products was available to the general public for purchase. Carrying a single bottle of spirits or a full 6 bottle case is easy, but statistics show that many consumers purchase on average, two bottles per visit.
Retail Packaging Solution for Beverages
Our packaging specialists contacted our corrugated supplier and designed a two pack windowed container for the product. This container was designed to show the customer’s name, the spirit type and designed with an easy carry handle. It also serves a marking tool for the distillery to package and display the various types of spirits available.
Have a corrugated project? Packaging Equipment and Films Inc. packaging specialists are ready to work with you on your new applications and can develop creative packaging solutions to meet your needs.
Recently a customer inquired about placing a coupon in a box as it moves down a production line. The production rate was in the 15-20 cartons per minute range. The solution for feeding was a packaging literature feeder manufacture by StreamFeeder. The machine has the ability to single feed or batch count and is adjustable over a wide range of product sizes and thicknesses.
The machine was set up with a photo eye trigger, variable speed stepper motor, extended nose discharge, double detect, miss detect, and an adjustable stand. The end result is a customer that can provide cross marketing to their product with the addition of a coupon through an automated literature feeder.
